To stay current on the booming world of digital media, at least once a week he crosses the street in front of his office to the Palo Alto Apple store. &#8220;Everything they do is exceptional,&#8221; he says. To master the convergence of media and technology, he spends considerable time with media leaders like Rupert Murdoch and Barry Diller, whom he recently persuaded to join the board of his online video start-up, Brightcove.&#8221;</p>
